SNF SURVIVES SURVIVOR FINALE

Football once again dominated the Sunday-night ratings, with a 7:00 p.m. overrun on CBS capturing 24.7 million viewers and NBC’s Sunday Night Football (Green Bay vs. New England) averaging 20.84 million. Despite the huge numbers, CBS piled up some impressive ratings for the night in primetime, too, as its 60 Minutes recorded 18.73 million in the 7:30 p.m. time period and the season finale of Survivor: Nicaragua nabbing 13.35 million viewers. ABC scored a respectable 6.17 million viewers for its movie, The Santa Clause, but Fox, with no football lead-in and a slate of animated reruns, drew just 4.62 million viewers.
