TANGLED CROSSES $150-MILLION MARK

After years of being overshadowed by corporate sibling Pixar, Disney Animation Studios’ has a bona fide hit. Its Tangled crossed the $150-million mark at the domestic box office on Tuesday as it continues to pack ’em in despite having opened five weeks ago during the Thanksgiving weekend. Daily Variety reported today (Thursday) that Tangled grossed $3.6 million on Tuesday, to bring its domestic gross to $150.6 million. (It exceeded ticket sales for Gulliver’s Travels, which just opened on Saturday.) Meanwhile, Disney said Wednesday that it set an overseas record for the studio in 2010 with $2.30 billion in ticket sales. Alice in Wonderland accounted for $609.2 million of that figure, while Toy Story 3 accounted for $649.2 million.
