VIEWERS FLEE NETWORKS’ RERUNS

All of the major broadcast networks aired a full schedule of reruns Monday night — and their ratings reflected that fact. (ESPN, of course, aired its high-rated Monday Night Football, but figures for the cable telecast were not immediately available. The game, however, was likely to attract almost as many viewers as the Big Four networks combined.) NBC, which aired three full hours of the sitcom Chuck, saw its ratings sink below redemption, as the network averaged 1.74 million viewers, bottoming out at 10:00 p.m. with 2.20 million. CBS, however, saw clear sailing, as it drew solid ratings for its freshman series Mike & Molly and Hawaii Five-0. It averaged 7.37 million viewers for the night.
