ECLIPSE ECLIPSES ALL OTHERS AT PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS

It’s not likely to win the Oscar for best film — or even to garner a nomination — but The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was the People’s Choice winner for best overall movie Monday night. It also won for favorite drama, favorite onscreen team (Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson), and best actress (Stewart). Toy Story 3 was named favorite movie, while Johnny Depp was voted favorite actor, Jackie Chan favorite action star, and Adam Sandler favorite comedy star. The television awards were dominated by Fox’s House, which won for favorite TV drama, actor (Hugh Laurie), actress (Lisa Edelstein), and “favorite TV doctor” (Laurie’s character). Glee was named favorite TV comedy. Glee‘s Jane Lynch was voted favorite comedy actress, and Neil Patrick Harris won for favorite comedy actor for How I Met Your Mother.
