SCHWARZENEGGER: HE’S B-A-A-ACK

February 11, 2011 by · 1 Comment

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger sent out what he described as “exciting news” on Twitter Thursday: “My friends at CAA [his talent agency] have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today.” After serving two terms as governor, speculation arose over whether he would seek a role on the national political stage — either by way of an appointment by President Obama or by running for election to the Senate from California. But he has apparently terminated his political career. The question now open is whether a 63-year-old former action hero can still draw business. Reuters observed on Thursday that his movie career was already on the wane before he ran for governor, with several of his last movies — all of them costly — failing even to gross $100 million domestically.
