ABC SAYS NBC, CNN WERE NOT FIRST TO AIR 9/11 FOOTAGE

Video of the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers that was described as “never before seen” when it aired on NBC and CNN on Monday — and was later posted on numerous websites — had actually aired on ABC and Fox News Channel, TVNewser said on Wednesday. The footage reportedly was broadcast on ABC’s Primetime Live, Chris Cuomo, who was a regular contributor to the program at the time, tweeted on Wednesday: “New 911 video is real. I was first to get it after attacks. Story archived. We edited carefully to shield families from horror of seeing loved ones die. I don’t know how putting it online is responsible. Do we need a snuff film of innocent Americans? Any media saying the 911 tape of NYPD copters at wtc was just released is wrong. I showed PARTS post 911. Putting raw tape out wrong,” Cuomo said. NBC and CNN declined to comment on their assertion that the footage was never previously broadcast.
