PBS WAS ALSO TARGET OF CONSERVATIVE STING: NYTIMES

NPR was not the only target of James O’Keefe, the conservative activist who secretly taped NPR fund-raising official Ron Schiller bashing the Tea Party as “racist, racist people.” The New York Times reported today (Thursday) that officials of PBS also were tricked into meeting with O’Keefe’s sidekicks who were posing as members of a group called the Muslim Education Action Center Trust and offering to donate $5 million to the public broadcasting company. The PBS officials, the Times reported, developed “profound concerns about the organization” and immediately attempted to verify the members’ credentials. When they were unable to do so, “communication was halted by PBS.”
