Time Warner has bought Flixter, a social network site that focuses on movies. It is also the parent of the popular Rotten Tomatoes website, which aggregates movie reviews. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. In an interview with today’s (Thursday) Los Angeles Times, Flixter co-founder/CEO Joe Greenstein indicated that with the help of Time Warner he hopes to enhance Flixter so that it will become a place where people will be able to watch movies that they’ve purchased anywhere on any broadband device at any time. “That’s the opportunity we’re after,” he said.
