FOX FIRST AMONG YOUNG VIEWERS, LAST AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS

Fox’s highest-rated show among total adults last week was the Wednesday edition of So You Think You Can Dance, which came in at No. 23 in the overall weekly ratings. Nevertheless, among the key demographic group of adults 18-49, Fox was the top-rated network for the week, followed by CBS, which attracted far more overall viewers. NBC boasted the No. 1 show of the week, Tuesday’s installment of America’s Got Talent and ABC landed in the Nielsen top ten, tying for fourth place with The Bachelorette. Among the nightly newscasts, the race between NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and ABC World News with Diane Sawyer remained tight, with NBC maintaining its lead with 7.88 million viewers and ABC closing in with 7.40 million. The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley continued to struggle with 5.64 million viewers. For the week among total adults, CBS led with an average 4.1 rating and a 7 share. NBC placed second with a 3.1/6. ABC came in third with a 2.9/5, while Fox trailed with a 2.4/4.
