STRUGGLING NBC WINS ANOTHER WEEK

NBC executives may have been wishing that the network’s summer ratings might hold over through the regular season in the fall, as it led among 18-49-year-olds last week, thanks to the season finale of The Voice and potent numbers for America’s Got Talent. CBS continued its dominance among total adults — despite airing mostly reruns. CBS finished the week with a 3.6 rating and a 7 share, edging out NBC with a 3.5/6. ABC came in third with a 2.9/5, while Fox trailed with a 2.0/4.
The top ten shows of the week according to Nielsen Research:
1. America’s Got Talent (Wednesday), NBC, 7.6/13; 2. America’s Got Talent (Tuesday), NBC, 7.3/13; 2. The Voice, NBC, 7.3/12; 4. The Voice (Results Show), NBC, 6.3/11; 5.
