AMERICA’S GOT TALENT AND NCIS BATTLE IT OUT

September 7, 2011 by · 1 Comment

NBC and CBS played to their strengths Tuesday night, with NBC airing a two-hour edition of America’s Got Talent, while CBS aired three hours of reruns of NCIS, according to Nielsen Research. NBC turned out to be the winner, with an average 11.5 million viewers, but CBS was certainly a contender as it averaged 8.4 million with its slate of all-NCIS repeats, peaking in the 8:00 p.m. hour with 9.3 million viewers, which ranked No. 1 in that period. (NBC’s new It’s Worth What? drew just 4.7 million at 8:00 p.m. to place third behind a rerun of ABC’s Wipeout, which drew 6 million viewers.)
