CBS was no doubt elated by the huge ratings for the first two episodes of Two and a Half Men this season, with Ashton Kutcher taking over the leading role from Charlie Sheen. But it was apparently a bit ticked off at Kutcher for inserting a bit of product placement into Monday’s episode on his own. In that episode, Kutcher, who plays a billionaire Internet entrepreneur, is seen working on a laptop computer with a number of logos for media websites plastered on the lid. E! Online noticed that Kutcher has a financial interest in each of those websites, something that apparently got by CBS’s standards and practices unit. “This was not part of any advertising transaction with CBS,” a network spokesperson told E! News. “Our policy is to disclose such financial interests in a credit at the end of the broadcast.”
