NETFLIX SAYS RESTRICTION RESULTED FROM TECHNICAL GLITCH

Netflix on Monday denied that, as a matter of policy, it is preventing subscribers from streaming two different movies simultaneously. Various reports said Wednesday that Netflix had quietly implemented the policy over the weekend and now requires multiple subscriptions if customers want to view more than one movie at a time. However, Netflix later insisted that the blockages that occurred over the weekend were the result of a technical glitch and not a change in policy. “No Netflix member is limited to less than two concurrent streams,” a spokesman told the Time magazine website. “A few Netflix members have heard differently from us, which is an error that we are correcting.”
