Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Corp., the owners of the CW Network, have signed a deal that will make the network’s programs available via Netflix’s streaming technology. Only content from previous seasons is included in the agreement, but the companies said that amounts to 700 hours of programming. (Episodes from the current season will become available next year.) The agreement covers CW programming through the 2014-15 season. Netflix, whose stock has been in free-fall since it announced now-abandoned plans to divide itself in two, with half concentrating on renting movies via the mail and half via the Internet, saw its stock tick upwards today (Thursday). At the close on the Nasdaq it was up 3 percent to $117.03.
