While some analysts express concern that cable television networks may be heavily impacted by customers who opt for Internet video sites and begin dropping their cable subscriptions — so called cord-cutting — researchers SNL Kagan said today (Tuesday) that cable networks will see a 14-percent rise in ad revenue to $25.5 billion this year, softening to a 10-percent rise next year to $27.9 billion. The firm is predicting slower growth after that — about 8.9 percent — but significant growth nonetheless. Best ad performers this year: News Corp’s cable networks, led by the Fox News Network, up 23-percent over 2010.
