It’s hard to imagine who would want to watch the Super Bowl on a computer screen, let alone a mobile phone, but NBC announced on Tuesday that it plans to stream not only Super Bowl XLVI live on Feb. 5 from Indianapolis, but also two wild-card playoff games on Jan. 7 and the Pro Bowl on Jan. 29. The online versions will allow viewers to check out action on four additional cameras than the ones being used for the televised version. “There’s such an opportunity on the Internet,” Rick Cordella, vice president and general manager of NBC Sports Digital Media, told today’s (Wednesday) New York Times. “TV is one signal coming into your home, but we can offer interaction with the talent, in-game highlights, stats and a wealth of information to surround the fan.”
