CSI CASTS ANOTHER TEEN IDOL

In yet another effort to attract younger viewers, the producers of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation have cast teen idol Jesse McCartney in a leading role for an episode due to be broadcast during the February ratings sweeps. McCartney, whose speeded-up voice is used to create the character of Theodore in the chipmunks movies and who was voted best male singer at the 2009 Kids Choice Awards, will appear in the same episode of CSI that will introduce a new regular character played by Elisabeth Shue, according to csifiles.com, which cited an unnamed insider. A year ago, the producers cast another teen idol, Justin Bieber, for a two-episode arc.
