OSCAR WINNER CELESTE HOLME DEAD AT 95

Celeste Holm, who won the Oscar for best supporting actress for her performance in 1947’s Gentlemen’s Agreement and was nominated in the same category for Come to the Stable in 1949 and All about Eve in 1950 has died at age 95. The Associated Press obituary noted that her last years were “filled with financial difficulty” in which she was left dependent on Social Security to survive.
