PARIS PREMIERE OF DARK KNIGHT RISES CANCELED FOLLOWING SHOOTING

A red-carpet premiere of The Dark Knight Rises that was to have taken place in Paris tonight (Friday) has been canceled following the early-morning attack on a Denver-area theater showing the film that reportedly left 12 persons dead and about 59 injured. A news conference in which director Christopher Nolan and cast members Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Morgan Freeman were due to participate was also canceled.
