Dinesh D’Souza, one of the most prominent “conservative values” advocates and the writer/director of the recent anti-Obama documentary 2016: Obama’s America has submitted his resignation as president and member of the faculty of King’s College amid allegations of improper extra-marital relations with a younger woman. According to the widely published rumors, D’Souza recently visited North Carolina with the woman and shared a hotel room with her. Six days later he filed for divorce from his wife of 20 years. quoted the college’s chairman, Andy Mills, as saying, “God has a mighty future for Dinesh, but there are some things he has to go through first. It has also reportedly been rented to numerous church groups for $300 per showing, and Lionsgate released it on DVD last week. The charges against King first appeared in World magazine and were denounced by D’Souza on Wednesday as “pure libel.” D’Souza claimed that the editor of the magazine had been the provost of King’s College when I was interviewed to become president. “The reporter who wrote this story, Warren Smith, also used to work as a consultant for King’s until I decided not to renew his contract,” D’Souza said in a commentary posted on He also maintained that he has been separated from his wife for two years.
