The restaurant-within-a-movie-theater concept has apparently proven so successful for the 16-theater Movie Tavern chain that it has vastly expanded its Forth Worth location, adding three new digital digital screens, expanding the lobby and bar area and remodeling the rest of the theater. “We are thrilled to be able to deliver a higher level of theater experience that gives our Fort Worth customers more than just an entertaining film,” Movie Tavern chief John Hersker said in a statement. “It’s the ultimate entertainment experience at a great value, linking innovative technology, great food and a fun night out.” That technology is not limited to the projection booths and screens, the company observed. Meals can be ordered before the movie begins, it said, “and servers will deliver selections discreetly throughout the show, minimizing audience distractions. During the movie, with a simple push of a button, guests can alert servers to order another cocktail or desired dessert.” The theaters, it further noted, have been outfitted with plush leather seats arranged “stadium” style and individual tables — amenities, it said, “that truly enhance every aspect of the evening.”
