SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK NO 1 ON HOME VIDEO

People who are advised to look for the silver lining were likely to find it at the top of the DVD, Blu-ray and video rental charts last week as the Weinstein Co.’s Silver Linings Playbook took over the No. 1 position on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart sand Home Media magazine’s rental chart from another Weinstein Co. film, Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, which dropped to fourth place. At No. 2. on the sales charts was 20th Century Fox’s Broken City, followed by Paramount’s The Guilt Trip. The rental chart lined up like this: 1. Silver Linings Playbook; 2. The Guilt Trip; 3. Django Unchained; 4. This Is 40; 5. Parental Guidance.
