SELMA BLAIR OUSTED FROM ANGER MANAGEMENT AFTER SHEEN THREAT

One day after celebrity website TMZ reported that Charlie Sheen was demanding that Selma Blair, his co-star on FX’s Anger Management, be fired for complaining to producers about his work habits, the producers of the show issued a perfunctory statement saying, “We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best.” The speed with which Blair was removed from the show following the TMZ report — it had claimed that Sheen had confronted producers with a her-or-me ultimatum — surprised many observers, although a source told E! Online that while Sheen himself, although listed as a producer of the show, hadn’t the right to fire anyone on his own, he “certainly can make production impossible.” The show itself debuted with solid ratings in its first season but they have declined significantly in the second season.
