There was little change in the make-up of the top 10 shows on the Nielsen ratings list last week, nor in the number of viewers for each of them. The Stephen King/Steven Spielberg sci-fi drama Under the Dome on CBS remained the most-watched show of the week with 11.6 million viewers. NBC’s two installments of America’s Got Talent took second- and third-place positions. Among the key 18-49 age group, Dome and the Tuesday-night edition of Talent tied for first place. However, in a surprise, the Tuesday-night episode of the Univision telenovela Amores Verdaderos came in third. Indeed, thanks to the popularity of that nightly drama, Univision topped all broadcast networks in the 18-49 demo for the week. There was also an upset victory among the nightly newscasts in that demo as ABC World News with Diane Sawyer beat NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. It marked the first time in 243 weeks that the ABC newscast came out on top. Among total viewers, Nightly News led with an average of 7.5 million viewers, but World News was close behind with 7.3 million. The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley came in third with 6.0 million viewers. For the week, CBS remained well ahead with an average 6.6 rating and an 11 share. ABC was a distant second with a 4.7/8. NBC came in third with a 4.2/7, while Fox trailed with a 3.9/6.
