DOCTOR WHO TV SPECIAL TO BE SIMULCAST TO THEATERS IN 3D

The 75-minute 50th anniversary special of the British TV series Doctor Who will also be simultaneously beamed in 3D to movie theaters in the U.K., the U.S., and Canada on Nov. 23, the BBC announced today (Wednesday). The announcement said that 200 theaters in the U.K. have agreed to carry the film, but there was no indication how many had been lined up in North America. In addition to current stars Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman, The Day of the Doctor will also feature former Doctor Who stars John Hurt, David Tennant and Billie Piper.
