It has been awhile since CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation regularly topped the Nielsen ratings list. But the procedural drama, now in its 14th season, can still mow down rival programs. On Wednesday night it averaged 11.03 million viewers and was watched by more than those who tuned in to ABC’s Nashville (5.62 million) and NBC’s Dateline (4.77 million) combined. (According to TVbytheNumbers.com, it tied its season high.) It also ranked No. 1 in its time period among the key 18-49 age group. For the evening, it ranked second, behind lead-in Criminal Minds with 12.29 million viewers. Among the 18-49 demo, the top show of the night remained ABC’s Modern Family with a 3.3 rating and an 8 share in the demo.
