NBC’S TODAY TOPS ABC’S GMA THANKS TO NBC’S RESURGENCE

NBC’s strong ratings last week among the key 18-49 age group redounded to the benefit of the Today show, which beat ABC’s Good Morning America for the first time since last July in the key news demo of adults 25-54. Television viewers tend to leave their TV sets set to the last channel they watched the night before, and analysts suggested that such a practice helped lift the NBC morning show, which has rarely topped its ABC rival since GMA took over the lead in 2011. GMA remained the most-watched show among total viewers.
