Despicable Me‘s five-week run as the No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray seller has ended. It was replaced on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart by The Butler, starring Forest Whitaker as a black butler serving eight presidents at the White House. Despicable Me plunged to fourth place. Coming in second was Riddick, starring Vin Diesel. Home Media magazine noted, however, that more people actually bought Riddick than The Butler, since the title was also included in a box set, Riddick: The Complete Collection. Carrie, the remake of the Stephen King horror flick, came in third. On Home Media magazine’s rental chart, Prisoners, starring Hugh Jackman, pulled ahead of The Butler, with Fast & Furious 6, slipping to No. 3.
