TARANTINO TAKES ON GOOGLE OVER SCRIPT LEAK

Despite numerous demands by Quentin Tarantino and his representatives asking it to do so, Google has declined to remove many of the news articles, blog posts and forum threads associated with the leaked screenplay of his The Hateful Eight, TorrentFreak.com, which tracks BitTorrent usage, reported on Saturday. Google’s refusal to comply with Tarantino’s demands comes after the director sued Gawker.com for publishing links to the pirated screenplay. In its report about the matter, TorrentFreak commented, “If the case against Gawker goes ahead, it is likely that Google will get involved to prevent a damaging precedent. After all, the search engine is linking to millions of infringing files itself. Unlike Gawker, Google’s links are added to the search engine automatically.”
