FROZEN MELTS HARDLY AT ALL IN ITS SECOND WEEK ON DVD

April 3, 2014 by · Leave a Comment

In its second week on retail shelves, Walt Disney Studios’ Frozen remained the No. 1 home video, selling three times as many copies as its nearest competitor, the just-released The Wolf of Wall Street, according to Nielsen VideoScan First Alert, which tracks DVD and Blu-ray Disc sales. In third place was the just-released Walking With Dinosaurs: The Movie from 20th Century Fox, while another new release, DreamWorks’s Delivery Man debuted in fourth place. With two weeks to go before Frozen can be released by the big home-video renters (Disney is among the studios that insist on a 28-day rental embargo for renters like Netflix and Redbox), The Wolf of Wall Street debuted at No. 1 on Home Media magazine’s rental chart, followed by Gravity, which was just released from the 28-day block.
