RATINGS DROP FOR EVERYTHING

Television viewing remained in the summer doldrums on Wednesday, with a repeat of NBC’s America’s Got Talent garnering the most total viewers, 6.35 million between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., but CBS’s Big Brother besting it among the 18-49 age group. With many people heading out of town for the Fourth, only two other programs scored more than 4 million viewers on Wednesday, both in the 10:00 p.m. hour. NBC’s new Taxi Brooklyn, which could become a relative hit for the summer, attracted 5.37 million, up slightly from last week’s debut, while a repeat of CBS’s veteran CSI: Crime Scene Investigation placed second in the hour with 4.53 million.
