RATINGS FALL FOR UNDER THE DOME

Under the Domereturned for another summer session on Monday, and the results were, well, under — under the ratings for the season finale last September, that is. The CBS show attracted 9.38 million viewers and a 2.2 rating and a 7 share among the 18-49 age group. That compares with 11.84 million viewers and a 2.8/8 in the demo on September 16. Nevertheless, the sci-fi thriller remained the highest-rated show of the night and the number of viewers was more than the combined audience of ABC and NBC in the 10:00 p.m. hour.CBS also noted that it was the highest-rated scripted program of the summer. At TVMediaInsights, blogger Marc Berman recalled that Under the Dome was watched on DVR last year more than any other CBS television series. It was the second most-watched of any series on any network.
