Stacy Snider, currently co-chairman and CEO of DreamWorks, is expected to be named co-chairman of 20th Century Fox, according to reports published on Thursday by Variety and the Los Angeles Times, which cited a person familiar with the situation. An actual starting date has not been set, since Snider’s contract with the Steven Spielberg studio does not expire until the end of the year. However, Variety reported that Snider is "expected to be extricated from her contract" by next week. Snider joined DreamWorks in 2006 but has reportedly been expressing frustration with the tight financial restrictions imposed on the studio by DreamWorks’s principal investor, Reliance, according to the Times.
